Warped rotors? (95 civic ex)
So a few months ago, my pads would squeak under braking, so i applied 'disc-brake-quiet' to the pads and all was good. but this past week, i noticed whenever i hit a bump or pothole in the road my rotor sounds like it's rubbing against something in a pulsating pattern every time the wheel turns. and when i hit the brake real quick it'll go away. could it be rubbing against the pad? or could i have a bad bearing making it wobble? i was going to change the pads and rotors soon but i hope it's not something more like a bearing or hub etc.
Kinda sounds like it could be a possible caliper issue, but that's my bench-mechanic theory. How did you apply the brake quiet? What kind of squeak is it, like when you have glazed rotors or higher pitched? The pulsation could also come from worn front end parts, try jacking the front of the car up off of the ground and feeling for play in the front end. Does it pull at all when you brake?
