99-00 si grill VS. an EBAY replica ctr or si grill
my question is are they the same? is there a difference? becuase i want the si grill but no one has JUST that for sale and i was wondering if the ebay ones are the same and look okay.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Si is 2 piece, eBay is 1 piece.
Si fits all clips, eBay fits some.
Si fits perfect, eBay fits like ****.
Si looks clean, eBay looks hilarious.
Si sits flush on bumper, eBay leaves a gap
Im not a fake part hater, I have my fair share of fake parts on my car but I will NEVER buy a fake grill. Rock the stock grill till you find one, one will come up.
Or buy a new one from Majestic Auto parts for about $120 shipped.

I'm gonna have to say I agree with the above. I have an SI rep on mine right now...I got lucky and fitment is decent but you can feel the cheap right out of the box. Hold out for a real one. They're scattered over the marketplace all the time.
Check out craigslist man, I started in every city in my state, then slowly branched out. Finally found one in NJ and the guy was willing to ship. Total came to $60 shipped I believe
Picked up an Si Grill for $50 a month ago, had it paint matched to my car for $55.
$105 later I have a perfect fitting gorgeous piece of OEM honda exterior fluff.
My old "type-r grill" cost me $45, $35 worth of rattle-can automotive spray paint, and about 2 hours of my time.
Guess which one I'm happier with.

I went the CTR replica route myself. Didn't fit very good at all. Had to make some new mounting points, and got it work and look good. Not worth the hassle though. If OEM is an option, always take that route. IMO
I had a JDMshit ctr style front grill, fitment was fine. It's just a one piece so it's hard to paint it and make it look good. Much easier to get good clean paint on the 2-piece OEM one. Had a local body shop paint it for cheap.
