OK its my gfs car its an 04 Cr v ex trim awd. suspension and steering is all tight. but when you maintain a speed of about 35 to 40. you very a thump thump then a vigorous vibration. until you let off or speed up. and it stops INSTANTLY when you do. its not a wheel or tire the tires are new and it did it before and after with no change. the vibration is very fast and vigorous. any ideas or if this is a common issue let me know. i was thinking a cv shaft or the drive shaft but i don't know how to check em. maybe a pilot bearing on the drive shaft i have no idea. any ideas would be great thanks
sounds like a drive shaft.... remove it and drive it in 2wd ... if sound is gone then you need a new one ... I ignored mine and it ended up breaking and it sucks to take the drive shaft off in the middle of the road.....
here is a U joint replacement for the Cr-Vs . I did mine but it was out of balance from being welded so I dropped it again and just drive in 2wd
