Recently acquired a 1987 Honda Civic Si. Car runs and drives, but on cold starts it idles very high (2k rpm) and plumes out smoke. I will do a compression check when I can. Once up to temp, the car doesn't smoke and idles ok. Doesn't look/smell like burning oil...could it be dumping gas?

Any help on how to bring the cold idle down, or any other suggestions would be appreciated.
