Default 1990 Accord Power Steering Pump "pivot bolt"

Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I found it doing a google search on some info I need to replace the atlernator in my 1990 Accord.

What I found was awesome - pictures someone took of each step with instructions to find bolts, etc. - the the car was a 98 Civic and it didn't correspond to my engine, though.

I have a Hayne's manual. I'm trying to push the power steering pump aside to gain access to the alternator. It shows pictures of the 'adjusting nut' and the 'adjusting bolt,' which helps. It also says to 'remove the pivot bolt,' but I don't know where that is (not explained in the manual).

Can anyone here send a picture, or something?

Thanks
Goldest

#36 is the pivot bolt. The pivot bolt is the last to come out and the first to go in. Take out the adjusting bolt(s) first to relieve tension on the belt to get it off. After you put it back in, put in the adjusting bolt(s) and adjust the bolts till there's 1/8" deflection on the belt. Deflection: how much the belt moves up and down while running.
