Who has highest mileage on there valve springs and retainers?
Ive installed skunk 2 valve springs and retainers since 2004 on jdm 96 spec b18cR stock bottom end and still running them to this day.. Using the skunk stage 2 cams but ive been running those cams quite a big longer since 2001 in a b16. its been 6+ years and its been very reliable, several trips to ny-fl and daily driven beaten on with countless dyno pulls and track days. I'm now getting a bit worried as im planning another ny-fl trip and not sure what to do with the valve train. From the top it still looks brand new from when it was first installed.
So has anyone else had there valvetrain for that long or logged in a million miles on theres and still running? Just trying to get an idea if i should have my valve train replaced or just being parinoid

Depends on how you've treated and maintained your car.
If you have changed your oil regularly, done valve lash adjustments, etc then you probaly have nothing to worry about
But if you've beaten on it and your head sounds like a typewriter then there may be problems.
Only way you could be positive is go throught the head and make sure spring compression is on point and inspect your retainers for wear

theres another thread in here somewhere(NA section) that talks about valvetrains and how well they last. not that its a 6 year mark but there were a few with basically untouched VT after 50k+ with some of those being mild/heavy modded cars.
but do the basic tests if its all gravy you should be gravy.

60k miles on Rocket Motorsport cams and his valvetrain. Was told I would not last more than 20k miles.
Tho, I've replaced the motor due to bad oil rings but have not got around to sent it off to Brad....

I can't remember if the tuner series springs had snap fit retainers back then. If they didn't, I would remove and inspect your retainers for wear.
