it shakes all the time or just at certain speeds? If im not mistaken any B-series axles will work. Could be unbalanced tires up front, but usually you'll only notice a wobble at higher speeds.

Axle vibration is very common, even with new axles.

The new axles your looking won't do any thing. Cheap axles vibrate. Get OEM axles.
Check over your bushings, also does the car have aftermarket motor mounts? Torque mounts installed?

those are oem integra axles from a 95.
and it has integra mounts from what i was told, i dont see any distinguishing logos on them at all, so im going to assume they are integra stock mounts.
oh and, i know this is a noob questions, but what exact bushing should i be looking at? again i apologize for being so uneducated in the honda field. this is my first honda.

Any and all suspension bushings in front.

if you look at the front and engine and transmission, are there torque mounts installed?
Take a carefull look at the mounts, or post pic's. They could have been filled and have bushings installed. ES makes a kit for this.

Everyone started somewhere. Every last person on this site was a noob at one point.

Does it happen when you turn? The boot on one of your axles might be ripped, letting debris and particles in the joints. Happens with old axles.

You also said you think it is moving. Best to jack the car up or put it on a lift and manually twist the axle to see if there is any play there. Happens with axles that can't handle the kind of power/torque or beating that you might put on them. Launching from stop lights all the time will do this, or just too many trips to the track without replacing.

In either case, best to just replace the axle(s).

Also, suspension bushings might be dry/old/worn/cracking like has been stated above. Replace as necessary.

Solid motor mounts will cause different amounts of vibration within the entire chassis, as they are designed to transfer engine vibration to the chassis of the car, keeping the motor dead still and to put more power/torque to the ground. If you have a ripped or torn mount bushing, this can also cause the car to shake a bit. Not sure about Hondas, but on LS1 (chevy RWD) motors, it is a bad idea to use a solid transmission mount due to harmonic imbalance. Again, not sure how this would change on a Honda since our engines are transversely mounted. Would be good to find out more about that, hah.

8yourv8, so i jacked my **** up today mate and pulled my wheel off and checked my suspension and my axles. so i saw my driver side axle is about an inch and a half unseated from the tranny case... this is gotta be the problem, but also grease i leaky from my passenger boot.. so that could also be the reason for the tick and the driver side is causing the knock and shake right?

either way both sides are being done once i can source some oem b series axles. and im looking into the bushing replace like you mentioned but i dont think its gonna fit in me current budget, i saw one kit going for 450, is that a normal price or do you know anything cheaper for a bushing kit, those were polyurethane by the way.

Stop drving the car untill you can fix the axle issue.

PIC Hardrubber $232.50 shipped from THMotorsports Im buying my kit in a few weeks.

If you are need of motor mounts, I am sure you could find a used oem set of bushings for cheep, or you could go with innovative for around $350.

I've been having this same issue and have narrowed it down to 3 things. Axles, Upper Control Arms, and Steering Rack (Tie Rod Ends). The vibration is occuring during acceleration right? Is the "jerking" mainly occurring while turning at low speeds?

UPDATE: i jacked the car up and pulled the wheels off, gave it the ol rotor check, moving it up and down and side to side. well heres what i got.

passenger side steering [ i guess rack or tie rods] were incredibly loose, i could move the rotor side to side with ease and see the tie rod move and it was screeching and clickin.
passenger side axle sounds alright but clicks bad.

driver side, the axle is shot for sure. but the tie rods seem fine, a tiny bit loose.

so what needs to be fix steering wise. i know the axle problem.
do i just buy new tie rods? or does the whole rack and tie rods need to be replaced?

sorry for a long post, i just have questions and can only find answers on here. i dont know anyone mechanically inclined.

If it where my car I would replace all inner and outter tie rods, and pony up the cash and buy both OEM cv shafts. you can replace all the tie rods for right around $100 than get a good alignment done.

you stated that the driver side axle was unseated from the transmission did you see anything adnormal . make sure you replace the axle oil seals while you are at it don't want to reuse the old ones

Moog/OEM Tie rods ONLY.

However, my friends integra had the same sort of thing you described going on, and it was infact the rack. How was the PS removed? Did they loop the lines?
