Icon2 tire/wheel options for 96 integra

Howdy Forum!

I'm new to here, to Hondas, and to the modding thing in general, so bear with me please.

My DD is 96 Integra and i want to put 16" wheels on it, but I'm stuck on what tires to choose from. I heard there aren't many good street aftermarket tire selections for the 16" wheels- IDK how true that is btw, but i would like to go no bigger than 16" because, IMO, that's the perfect size for small cars like ours. I've never been to a track event, however I plan to track the car whenever I can next semester since there is one near my school.

So my questions are:

What type of tire: radials, all season, etc would you recommend i get?
What are the optimal sizes: 205/40, 225/45 etc, that I can run on my teg that has a stock suspension set up?
Would I be able to drive to the track and back on the same tread?

Thanks & !

You really, really, really need to read the Tire FAQ section of the stickied topic at the top of this forum (click here). It will tell you all about different kinds of tires, including summer tires, all-season tires, etc.

The best 16" sizes for an Integra are 205/45-16 and 215/45-16.

Since you plan to track these tires as well as driving them on the street, and since you don't have to use these tires in snow (assumed from your location), I'd recommend one of the "extreme performance summer tires":

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 205/45-16
Kumho Ecsta XS 215/45-16
Toyo Proxes R1R 205/45-16
Falken Azenis RT-615K 215/45-16

All will grip well on dry pavement, and you can drive any on the street as well as the track. The Kumho and Falken won't do as well in rain as the other two. The Kumho is the least expensive and the Bridgestone is the most expensive.

Feel free to ask more questions - AFTER you read the Tire FAQ in the stickied topic!
