Hey fellow ITR owners. Ive been viewing and reading about dozens of itr build threads on ht over the last few years and they always brought me joy. Well finally i have a worthy build of my own. A Couple days ago i had the privelege of meeting Kittens (Who is rebuilding ITR 99-036) and finally decided to share my build also...

** Just like Kittens i to live in Calgary AB CANADA**

Background story.
I was sitting in a boring Architecture lecture when i came across the oppertunitie of a life time. A Canadian 2001 CW ITR for $3000... WTF right? well being bored i decided to email the add right away. Turns out the was a 24 girl who blew up the engine and lived in a small town 4 hours away form me here in Calgary. It was too expencive to fix cuz there was no place close for her to get an engine... so she was just getting rid of it... after she sent me a few pix i knew i had to have it.
The next day i got in my truck with my flat bed trailer and made my 10 hour drive (round trip and loading) (skipping 3 classes in the process) lol i got there and it turned out that she was keeping the car at her uncles and he backed his truck up into the back of the itr (****) ohh well. still worth it... without even asking she knocked off another 500... "sweet!!!!!" got it loaded right away. signed the papers and IT WAS MINE!!!!! 4.5 Hours later i was home (1am)

Lol you have no idea, i would say there is a good 20 itrs in Calgary, its cool to have a bunch of people so close that are as passionate about these cars as you are!

Like kittens11 said there are alot of ITR's in Calgary. i know of about 15 or so and im positive that there are well over 20... prob close to 40 mabie 50. Ever since ive known what an ITR is ive kept a total in my head (what a loser i no) haha

From what i know no where near as bad as the States... However at the same time you wont ever see on parked on the street over night or anything. but i see them in parking lots at the uni all the time... i havnt herd of one getting stolen by anyone i know (doesnt mean it doesnt happen though)

For mine i deff keep it indoors and dont dd it. AND WILL NEVER WINTER DRIVE IT- its crazy how many ITR's are driven in the winter up here. lots of young guys who save up all there money to buy one and then are force to dd it all year round... Makes me want to cry sometimes.

Im not sure if there are any meets of not... Igot this car back on JAN 16th (day after my bday.... and yes i no i should have posted oix then... my bad) so i dont know that.... deff would like to find out.

Ya car theft is nothing like the states here. I left mine out on the street on many summer nights. people steal more trucks here than anything is what it seems. Bunch of rednecks i guess even the thieves.

You sure it's not an R motor? Is the intake manifold an aftermarket manifold?

 

if you sell those red seats you will make all the money that you spent + you might even make some money.
those seats are worth more than your whole car haha

I drove my itr every day for the past 5 years! It`s just a great car , i personnaly think it should be driven ! Some people lol!!!
