Default b18 build questions

ok so i have a b18 block just sitting in my garage right now.
im wanting to get about 250-350(big margin i know)out of the engine.
but i dont know where to start or what to buy.

and by block i literally mean just the block i have two sets of pistons and 2 cranks (stock and aftermarket) but i seem to be having trouble out of getting the crank out.
so my main question is: what do i need to buy to make this a 250hp-350hp working engine
also what about tranny with that HP coming from the engine what should i do to the tranny(i dont have one yet..any hints on where to buy and type)
thanks

Realistic goals

81mm n/a b series = 200-215whp
82mm n/a b series = 200-225whp
84mm - 85mm N/A b series = 230+
This is also dependent on , not using a GSR crank, but a LS crank. You'll need to create as much torque as possible... you can't really go bigger then 82mm on stock sleeves on GSR/LS/ITR motors, you'll have to sleeve it.
With B20's you get 84mm and can go up to 85mm on stock sleeves.

I'd suggest getting a b20..no replacement for displacement.

From there its finding a good combo of parts that work well together.. base your build around the cams you plan on running.. not the other way around..

First figure out which platform your going to run..

only thing i have to work with is a b18 block...so b20 isnt in the options.
also im new to the b series and i dont know what all i have to do to get more torque.
but what about pulleys and pump stuff because i literally have nothing but a block none of the other parts
and what head gsr, typer?
also explain more on the basing my choices around the cam

Wow these what to buy threads popping up all over. I guess alot of winter builds being done... OP have you looked in the dyno threads? Are you going to bore and sleeve the LS block you have? If you're sticking to the 1.8 liter be happy if you can squeeze 210 whp out of it. Like ALL_MOTOR stated "there is no replacement for displacement". More torque means you'll need bigger displacement. As in 84-85mm bore and bigger crank.

You wont run 84mm pistons in a LS block unless it is sleeved. I can't figure out why that is unclear.

Saying "your new to B series" and trying to get 250-300whp out of one is a recipe for disaster. Until you research this topic, or even research the physics of how a motor really works, I wouldnt touch that block.

I almost just want to say take it to a shop, give them $5k, let them swap the motor in, throw a vtec head and turbo kit on it and be done with it.

Seriously these threads are getting old.

"I want 275whp out of my stock bore B16 w/ PR4 pistons....pro 3's are good right?"

Lol...

OP if you're looking to go 84mm why are you limited to an LS block? For all motor applications sleeving is not required. The money to sleeve an LS and bore out to 84mm will be better off put into something else. Pick up a b20 and you're good to go. Go check the stock sleeve b20 vtec thread. Alot of information in that thread.

ok, see i know how the mechanics work
i know i have to sleeve/make it bigger in order to use 84 im not retarded
i just said " my friend said to use 84mm forged pistons " i didnt say non sleeved i was just mentioning he said 84
as in is that a good size for the LS or smaller mm
btw lunatics209 i wish i could but seeing as i already have the block and have already tried to sell it and no one will take...i dont see the point in not using a block i already have.
