The SRS light is on all the time. I hit a curb in a minor accident, but the airbag did not deploy. The airbags have never deployed with this car. The SRS light is on. The dealer agreed to diagnose this for free but says I will need to spend $1500 to replace three parts: the seat belt buckle, the seat belt retractor asembly, and the SRS control unit. Since there was no accident and deployment of the airbag, this seems to be a malfunction of the SRS system. Shouldn't the dealer be paying for this??? If there is no way I can get the dealer to cover it under the lifetime seatbelt warranty is there a solution that would be less expensive??? Any advice is very much appreciated. The vehicle can deploy the seat belt pretensioner without deploying the airbags. Once the seat belt is deployed the control module and sometimes the buckle need to be replaced. hope this helps
