Default Swapping my D15B block with a D15B7 block. Problems with the water temp sensor?

Ok I have a D15B with a seized piston. I didn't want to go through the trouble of fixing it so I got a D15B7 longblock from a guy. It came from a 93 or 94 civic. I'm swapping all of my parts onto it and everything matches up perfectly except two sensors.

The D15B block has a sensor near the oil filter. I think it's some kind of water temp sensor or fan switch or something. The D15B7 block has a hole there but it doesn't go all the way through the block and isn't threaded or anything. The D15B7 block also has some kind of water temp sensor near the thermostat, and the D15B block doesn't. Both sensors have a two wire connection.

Pics of what I'm talking about:

Sensor and hole on D15B block:

Hole on D15B7 block. You can't really tell but the hole is blocked off and not threaded:

D15B Thermostat housing:

Basically I have two options, drill and tap that hole and mount the sensor, or use the sensor on the thermostat housing.

I would rather change the wiring a bit and use the second option but I'm not certain that the sensor near the thermostat is the same thing.

Does anyone know what both of these sensors are and what I can do about it? I want to finish the motor and drop it in tomorrow. I'll just probably drill and tap in the morning unless someone can confirm that that other sensor is the same thing and I can just solder a different connection onto the two wires. (the old one doesn't screw into the thermostat housing I already checked that)

Sensors work the same, simply extend the wiring and use a plug the corresponds to the sensor.

what he means is that both of those are the rad fan switches
since the d15b7 motor has it on the thormostat houseing all you have to do is extend the wiring to your thormostat, both of those are the same sensers

i put a b7 in my 89 dx hatch and ran into the same problem. kept trying to screw the b2 sensor into the b7 block and it just wouldn't go! i just cut the b7 plug and wire off and spliced it to my b2 harness.
