Default Accord E-Cd5

Hi Everybody,

I am new to Honda, this is my first honda car, i bought it without knowing what trouble i was getting into, not because of the car, because of the fact that i live in Mauritius , which is a very small island, and get repairs, replacement or any thing for cars which are imported especially mine which is a 2.2 VTE .. on the second day of my purchase i realized the cam shaft was screwed up, mechanics tried to dismantle the engine and end they couldn't, only option i was left with was to replace with a second hand engine F22b same category 2.2 VTE.. now that everything is going fine, i wake up one morning and see a small crack on the wind shield, all over island no supplier has windscreen of it and no one willing to import 1 piece on request... i really like this car, its an automatic 4 speed, and i want to convert it to manual 5 speed and would like to know possible modification i could do in this car.. also their is some suspension work , i need help, i want a supplier i can deal with who can ship me any kind of replacement i need, i have doing some buyin on ebay, but some items like wind shield and all is not available on it.. also need tips on if its possible to replace automatic with manual, i can look for it around and what kind of manual transmission would suit this engine etc..

There are all kinds of mods that you can do to a CD5. The 5 spd swap is easy enough. it's been done more than a few times. Any F22/H22/F23/H23 transmission will bolt up to your engine. There is all kinds of useful information on mods and swaps in the FAQs. There is also a list of websites. You may be able to find a shop that will ship OEM Honda parts like your windshield. $$$$ What ever you do, if you happen to come across Gen5alive, don't buy anything from the online store.

Here is the link to the FAQ in case you missed it at the top of the forum https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/1990-2002-accord-faq-1664547/

There is more than likely a code being stored for a TCU/transmission system error. You should try and retrieve the code from the TCU/ECU. You read them the same way you would for the CEL code from the ECU. Except you watch the D4 flashing sequence. Do a search for the paper clip method or self diagnostics. It should come up with a few threads on how to retrieve the codes yourself.
