1992 Accord swaybar bushings
Hey--
I can't seem to find polyurathane swaybar bushings for my '92 Accord (LX 4door 4cyl 5spd).
I live in the Rust Belt (Michigan), I'd like new 'swaybar links' (at least that's what us Jeep guys call them) as well, since the originals are rusted to ****. It looks pretty straightforward to replace them, but if anyone has any advice (do it with the suspension loaded or unloaded, etc...) it'd be greatly appreciated!
I'm also considering getting new poly shift linkage bushings, as I think they'd help make the shifter operate a bit more precisely (it's all wobbly now, 252k miles on the car). I can't find any parts, or instructions online.
THe biggest issue is that I can't I need to learn how to google crap better... geesh! For the price difference I think poly is worth the extra couple of bucks to upgrade. I can find parts for Civics all over the place, but Accord... wow you'd think they don't exist.
Thanks,
Matt

I did them unloaded. Just use a long breaker bar to help push the sway bar down as you start the nut.
Unless you’re driving 9/10th s you don’t need urethane. I’d just buy these instead.

I have to kind of agree with this for daily driving. Years ago when I had a CRX Si, I did practically everything on the suspension. I hated the squeaking that came with the poly swaybar bushings when they got dry. I had to lube the poly bushings so many times back then that it was a pain.
