HEY, hondaatwsu,
First off, you may want to think before you post something. if you are gonna quote someone make sure you write (quote) like this: [QUOTE]. there you go big smart guy!!!
anyways, you dont know what you are talking about. yes it is true, a drag civic ran a 14.1 with a stock zc. the answer to speed is weight reduction. And by the way, dont talk like you have some knowledge about zc's because it really sounds like you dont know much about anything. keep thinking dumb!
Yeah, I was there running my car. I saw some tight Imports there, especially some nice Civics, Integras, and a couple Skylines. Buscher was the only Outlaw that showed up, but his Talon is nice.

the ZC is notorious for barely gettin out of its own way much less a 14.1 at 5800ft elevation. u can take out all the weight u want, the ZC is minimally better than the bone stock SOHC motor. in alot of cases they dont do any better than the stock D15.
and i repeat, u r an IDIOT if u believe that a stock ZC w/ PACESETTER header ran 14.1 anyone that runs pacesetter header in a "drag civic" obviously doesnt know what they r doin in the first place, so that leads me to the conclusion that anything that comes outta that persons mouth if total BS.

Actually the car is an 89 std and it ran 14.015 - 96.5 mph - 1.92 60ft. and it is bone stock ZC at 1610 lbs with driver - Any idiot with a horsepower calculator can enter 1610 lbs - 96.5 mph and see that it only takes 133 flywheel hp - 113 whp to run that number. About that Pacesetter header, we are just trying to show you guys that going quick isn't about DC 4-2-1 and all that crap - it's about weight and getting the horsepower to the ground. (and knowing what you're doing) Talk is cheap.
I was there and racing. I don't know if you guys saw, but I was the Turbo Green Integra that went all the way to sudden-death final of the SR-1 team challenge w/ C2 tuning. The car didn't like 20psi, it leaned out, I let off. Here's the video: http://www.boosthard.com/movies/team...enge-final.wmv
I also qualified for the quick16 class, but only 14 cars ran 12's, so they cut the class to the quick 8.
But this is my daily driven, OBD-II (stock ECU) car which was running 12.5's (higher and lower) all day long. Remember, this is at 6000ft for all you low-landers. NHRA conversion factor is .9269, so it's around a high 11 (compensating for turbo).
But I had a blast, and will be working to go faster this winter for next year's IDRC events.

Hell yeah dude, speedworks (isn't that a shop in UT?), you feel my flavor. How's that AEM EMS treadting you? I'm leaning more towards Hondata, but I haven't made any buys yet. Good to see you're putting the DC2 chasis to good use!
