Possibly will be buying a TSX soon i was wondering is there any known problems that TSX have that i should check for? or watch out for? any well known problems caused after a certain amount of year owned??



Also, what is the difference between the 04-05 and 06-08? Cosmetic wise? Motor? Iinterior? Design? etc...? i tried googling but all it mentions is a technology upgrade? i dont see why forums would seperate these years if its just technology based.i dont see a difference but on some forums they have these years seperated??

I just ran into a thread about the TSX having rust problems? can someone elaborate on that?? all i seen was people posting pictures and crying about their car having rust. none of them went into details as to how this happened or why etc...?

 

Where do those people live? I live in NC and my 04 doesn't have a lick of rust.

 

I've never read about rust problems...but with the amount of salt they use on the roads (especially here in PA), I wouldn't be surprised.

 

Yo, I used to own a 99 civic si and since having my little one was a pain in the rear with the coupe; I sold it to some kid in seattle and bought a 04 Milano Red 6spd TSX in July.

Since then I have been happy but a couple of months ago I saw a craigslist posting for a recall for the power steering hose on the 2004-2008 models. Took it to the Acura dealer and everythign was done free of charge; not to mention they clean the interior and exterior .Make sure your tsx has already had the power steering hose recall done if you do decide to buy it.
-If you google it; you'll find it.



***The 06-08 years do have better cams and a few other engine parts.

Also; if you are wondering about the Hondata reflash; it is only offered for the 04-06 TSX currently...

No prob bro. Naw; its not. Mine is a clean title I live in Portland and I bought the car from San Diego and had it shipped to me. lol

Couldn't find the one I wanted in Oregon or Washington so yeah. Pretty hard trying to find a 6 speed tsx with the navigation and A-spec lip kit installed already... Im sure you know that already.

Took me like 4 months to sell my Em1; everyones broke these days; fuc**n economy sucks a$$.
