2011 NSCRA "True Street" Rule Revision (Widened Front Fenders Permitted)
After evaluating over the 2010 season it has become clear that there has been no performance advantage to running widened front fenders on front wheel drive vehicles and the use of widened front fenders has only offered cosmetic benefits.

Body: Import or domestic compact car bodies allowed. Doors must open and close from inside and outside the vehicle. Lightweight components are limited to hood, front fenders, decklid, hatches, sunroofs, wings, ground effects, and bumpers only. Roof, Quarter panels, and doors must remain steel. Widened front fenders are permitted on FWD cars. One-piece front ends are not permitted. No body parts may be removed during competition.
See you all next year.

I know most people will only get them because they look "Cool". But they are also a safety thing. At least in my opinion. I dont think anyone wants to cut a tire at the end of the track.
Great idea!

Great news!
I know this is still a vague rule. Would any WIDTH extended front ends be permitted then? Would you allow someone that had put lets say 6" wider fenders in the class? Or are you putting a limitation on the look of it? Just curious if someone wanted to extend existing front end kits or something.

That's great news for all the people that already had them this year and for those who will be making the wide fronts!
They need a class that actually meets away from the track and then drives to the track ON THE STREET in these STREET classes.
