Pass or Fail rib my DIY "Stock" Sunroof
So my $350 CRX can with a crap leaky manual pop up - out and into the trash sunroof. I had a complete stock one laying around so instead of plugging up the hole I decide to cut out the correct size hole and weld in a lip from the remains of the body saw hack job. I also had to fab some threaded receivers to hold up the tray since only the Si comes w/ a roof and this is a DX. Of course I'll trim the lip so it's even all around and weld a patch in a few tiny gaps. Its pretty damn tight and needs just a super thin skin of All Metal filler to make it happen the rest of the way. What do you picky fab folks think? I do sportbike body for a living so I do some MIG on tanks but mostly I fab ABS and such.. so this was a venture for me.. I also welded in (Both stitched the below wheel arch). Pictures suck for detail but I'd like to hear from the guys who do this for a living.
All welding was done with the cheapest Harbor Freight MIG you can buy. It doesn't even have a gas hook up. Flux Core only!!

By the way, everything you see here is (Obviously) rough, now where near close to remotely finished. Just skinned over once to keep the rust at bay. That filler spread took 1 minute and no sanding.
Just wanted to make that clear for those that are oblivious to the bleeding obvious.. if any such folks even exist...

Appreciate the advice my brother - I'm a painter, own a shop. That ain't Bondo. I don't use cheap filler. It's All Metal filler. If you weld and don't put this on your work after I will fire you and I mean that. It's all aluminum filings in a resin. It works much better than any etching or weld through primer and does not draw in moisture as most products do - that is exactly why I use it. The color is silver not because I painted or primed it but because it's all metal literally and that is the color of it. It will be a while before I'm ready for paint because the shop has me busy which is exactly why I used it.
