Default crx died on highway

hey guys like the title says i was on the highway on my way home. then my crx started bogging and did't want go then died tryed to get it to start back up but wouldn't.I looked at my ecu im was geting code 9 which is cylinder sensor right?. I checkd to see i was geting at sparks and i wasnt geting any. Thinking my dizzy died on me or could it be my main relay??. I dont want to spend $175 on a new dizzy and find out it wasnt it thanks guys for any help

i just had that same problem in my hatch. from what i have been told is to check your cam sensor or crank, i forgot which one.
check to see you are even getting voltage to the dizzy. i havent checked mine yet. so hopefully somebody can help us out??

make sure the rotor button screw didn't fall off inside the dizzy...!!!

most likey is your ecm inside your dizzy.

no my rotor button screw didn't fall off inside the dizzy. i just had the module or what ever its called inside the dizzy tested and it was fine thought my msd baster broke but had it tested and it was fine. found a main relay hope it fixes it and its not my dizzy

theres a chip inside the dizzy it has the wires hooked up to it
should have 3 or 4 take off all 3 or 4 and remove the chip and go try one from a friends car or go to the junk and take a few
try them on and it might fix your problem
it's a 50 50 chance thou

also check to see if your timing belt is still on
it could of snapped off, you never know

becuase i have a d16 does that chip have to be from another d16 for it to work?
what dizzys with swap? llike d series only with other d series?

the chip he is talking about is the one i had tested auto zone can test for u and tell you if its bad one out of a 1.5 will work for it

my buddy is telling me a dizzy off a 90 integra will work for my a6 told me i would have to grind 1 mount off it tho

the "chip" is called an ignitor..

you have an external msd coil? If the coil and ignitor have been checked, it must be the main relay right?

probably a bad ignitor if hes using a msd coil they tend to eat them up lol why i dont use them stock is good for a 500hp engine

how do you test the ignitor? because i put a new coil pack in my dizzy and it didnt help my spark. my ecm is still good. how do i text the ICM?

i had them both tested and i took my external msd coil put it on my buddies car and it worked, i just bought a brand new main relay it's my dizzy that took a **** on me If thers a autozone in your area they can test your ignitor
