Default Maxbore TB experiance

Hi guys,
found this website called maxbore; they bore throttle bodies and it looks legit.
Do any of you guys have any experiance with them and the results?
They say the use a larger Butterfly so the car can idle like stock. This is a concern of mine because I don't want a huge idle.
Thanks guys any response appreciated. =]

Don't know about maxbore's work, I had mine done by KMS (I think). It idles and drives fine. I have a spare TB and I was thinking about dropping it off at maxbore while I am there next week.

Yes, Maxbore is legit. He's been around for several years. I had my GSR TB bored to 64mm back in '04. Turn-around time was only a couple days. The butterfly valve had a nice tight fit without sticking. I've always recommended him.

Maxbore is legit. They were on here for a while, I had them do mine way back in the day too so they've been doing it for a while with good pricing, turnaround and product.

If your trying to stay around 68-70mm why go with maxbore when you can buy an omnipower throttle body for $99 shipped to your door?

anywhere from 105-225. but 225 is for the TB and manifold port matching.

MaxBore was around when aftermarket TB's were a lot more expensive to buy and having your stock one bored was a less expensive alternative to going larger, with stock TB reliability.

Aftermarket TB's often had sticking problems and screws that randomly fell out of the throttle plates, messing up motors. It's also rare to find a test that shows any significant gains from going to a larger TB on most builds you see here, so spending the money on an expensive TB didn't make sense. MaxBore was quite popular until all the Chinese rip off parts started to flood the market and drop the price.
