Default Another DPFI to MPFI question

ok so I know the basic concept of what to do and everything but I have a few questions I cant seem to answer on any of the how-to sites. Do you suggest using the SI dizzy plug and i also have a whole si harness what other plugs should i use?

Just de-pin the plugs and you're set. I used Si dizzy plugs on my LX harness

I've already failed at this swap once and then i cut the regular plug off so ill have to cut and solder the wires, But can i use the SI injector plugs and not cut them from the resistor box

I don't know if this helps but another thing you can do is to use the plug off the d.p. dizzy and solder it to the si dizzy and just get another two wire plug and run them to the ecu. Also if it would look better if you mounted the resistor box on the intake manifold near the alt. so yo don't have to extend the wires to the injectors and run all the injectors to the ecu.

I had my ef in the garage for about a week taking my time and doing it right (luckily I have a back-up vehicle); it seems like a lot of people make this project out to be easier than it actually is, I read somewhere that it only took 3 or 4 hours... yeah bs! maybe before you had to fix mistakes and beat yourself up over why it won't run right. I relied on my Chiltons book A LOT more than the misleading and contradicting write ups all over the interweb... I suggest everyone do the same. The wiring diagrams for the EX/SI are side by side with the diagrams for DX/LX/STD making it pretty easy to compare what changes you need to make. I had zero issues, no CEL's, burning smells, etc. when I finished... just a sweet runnin', spunky little half si, half std hatch! haha; Good luck!

Honestly..would be alot easier if you just modified the stock Harness, using the SI-Dizzy would make things a bit easier because all you'd have to do is run two wires from the ECU into the Dizzy plug...

Trust me, use the Stock Harness, DPI to MPFI is DUMB easier then it comes off as...I did it..first try, only ran into an injector issue, and I rectified that in a day...car runs like a BEAST now...

Just don't be afraid to double check things, if you THINK you need to relook something, DO IT, but it's really dumb easy, I did my MPFI conversion in roughly 45 minutes, but in my defense I have extensive experience in wiring as I do alarms, and all types of other ****..still..for even a novice, it's about an hour and half, 2 hour job...good luck man, feel free to PM me if u have any questions on it...

Hell if ur in Jersey i'll even do it for u for 100 bucks, lol.
