im looking into a Honda crx that has been swapped to a rebuilt 1.6 vtec...ive dealt with mostly accords so here is the question...the guy is telling me it needs the wiring for the ecu that goes with the engine....what wiring is he talking about exactly....a conversion harness?....a new harness from the ecu to the engine?....or a jumper for the vtec stuff....he said it wont run without the new wiring

the point of coming here was to confirm hes not bullshitting me and trying to push one over on me.....and my first car was a crx years ago but since then ive dealt with mostly accord thats why my name is what is it

 

you need to ask HIM what the car needs...theeen maybe you can ask us how to fix it? orr where to get parts? orr whatever else you need. buut we cant tell you whats wrong with a car we havent seen or know nothing about.

 

he said its some ecu harness wire.....it was converted to a 1.6 vtec engine and ecu and it needs the wiring to go with it aparently....i dont know if thats a new harness a jumper harness or what

 

AGAIN...ask him EXACTLY what wiring this car needs to run. HE would know more than anyone else.

 

ok i talked to him today....he said it needs a new harness between the ecu and engine and in the dash

 

I'm sure that you can figure it out once you get the car. but if it doesn't run that is a risk you will have to take not being able to here the motor. Don't you have any friends that know anything about hondas. besides here on H-T?

 

if its missing all that wiring then the hell with it...find another car to buy!
