Sorry for the stupid question, but I see this posted on here so many times.

 

i believe its a SOHC motor built. Now if im wrong the H-T boys will put me straight!

 

have you heard of ls/vtec? well the mini-me is the single over head version of that. and thats a sohc vtec head on a normaly non-vtec sohc engine.

 

Best bang fo the buck! It's a 91 CRX Si bottom end (A6) and a 96-99 Civic Ex VTEC head (Y8). It's simple, it's cheap and it works! Yeah, I'd love to drop in a B16 or 18, but for a total investment of $500, I have a motor that pulles 125 hp/ 111 lbs at the wheels and runs a 14.98 1/4 mile time!

 

May be I'm wrong on this part, but I could of sworn you could use the D15B2 block for a mini me swap as well. As long as you did the MPFI swap pior to it.

 

yeh you could use most D series if not all. to do the vtec head swap.
