baaaad rattle. what to do now.....
Hi all.
I wish my first thread wasnt as dire as this but i need help! i have an integra dc5 jdm supercharged. All was awesome untill a few months ago. Now just before i drove to the nurburging i sent the car to have a check over. During this she had a top up of oil. All was fine and she came home in one piece. Four weeks later im driving to work and the oil light flashes on for a matter of seconds whilst going round a corner. Checked the dipstick later on and the level was fine. Not full but not empty. So i assumed it was the effect of the cornering so i booked in to get her sorted. driving home from my friends house (not hard. Shed been driven extrexmely sensibly till i had the oil done). and bang. I suddenly develop a bad tapping noise. My knowledge isnt vast. I know basics and i no that its bad news. Ive been told to forget any hopes of repair and just get a new engine which is off the cards right now as were expecting a baby and money is going that way. Is it worth getting the sump off and looking what damage is done. Any opinions as to what ive done exactly? Ive been told a few likely hoods. Piston to crank. Just need some direction. And prayers haha

sucks to hear all ITR's should have better/ aftermarket baffled oil pans IMO a car made for corning getting oil starvation should never happen
