Default 90 civic coolant leak

I have a 90 civic sedan ex model and my car suddenly started overheating rapidly. I thought it could be the thermostat, so I replaced it, now I found a coolant leak while putting my radiator hoses back on, one of the hoses was cut so I replaced it. The leak is near the alternator and I have no idea how to fix it.
Any suggestions? All help is appreciated.

It could be the end of your water inlet pipe going to the water pump or the water pump itself. Did you replace any of that and mabye not put on new o-rings when installing?

sounds like you may have a leaky o ring on the water tube on the back of the block perhaps..its a tube under the head that coolant flows thru. one side slides onto the block an uses a rubber o ring. the other side is where the thermostat housing is. thats the only thing bnear the alt. really

Yea you should definitly just replace both o-rings because its super cheap and if it still leaks then go to the water pump after and that should take care of it for sure.
