I know that 86-89 plug wires fit the ZC DOHC, but do any others fit correctly? Thanks.

 

the 89 Integra ones do fit, but they are not exactly the same; the stock JDM DOHC ZC ones
are red, and the angle of the wire as it comes off the spark plug boot is 90°, as opposed to
the Integra ones which come up at a slight angle. Doesn't seem to be any fit problems, though.

 

I might be out of my mind, but I think all.. or nearly all of the B series and D series DOHC motor's wires should fit. The length of wire isn't different enough to make a difference. The depth should be the same. To further reinforce my crazy theory... the part numbers for autozone plug wires are the same for the 99 - 00 Civic Si, and 86 - up Integras (all motors including vtec).

Obviously you should double check as I'm really not sure, but its something to check in to. After lunch I'll try to look in to this more.

I read somewhere that CRX wires are about an inch taller then the ZC wires.. I guess I need to go to Autozone and set them on the counter and match them up...with all the talk about ZC's around here I though someone would know for sure what fit.

 

I do know for sure that the 86-89 will wires fit. I use them. Avoid Moroso wires. Everyone I know that has a set managed to pull them apart a few times. They're junk. Mine came apart the first time I tried to remove them.

 

I am using 89 Teg wires. Although i had a brand new set of Civic Wires, they were an inch too tall. So they just sittin on the shelf now

 

yup i the stock crx wires are about 1 inch taller, and it dangles, so the depth is not correct. the integras are a close to perfect. i never seen actual zc wires so i cant compare. but my integra wires fit nicely.

 

Hmm I'm putting in my ZC today, so I should use these old Belden wires that came on the ZC instead of my NGKs I have on my Si engine right now?

 

like some of us said. the crx si ones arent correct.

Just use the 89 Teg ones, or do you have some specific ones in mind? CRX ones are to tall, wiggle around, etc. Others may work, but most people stick to what they know works when it comes to spark.

 

I found som on eBay but they are for 90+ Acuras...not 86-89..
