i am wondering if a stock honda tape dreck from a 95 civic ex 4 door will plug into a 89 crx dx factory wires..like are the stock plugs the same...

tring to put my gf's old radio in her dad's old old van, was going to use stock wire harness for radio from my wrecked parts car (crx)... thanks..

 

I believe Honda didn't change the wiring harness until 98 or 99...Should plug right up...

 

yeah, 88-00 all use the same harness. factory radio's all plug into each other i believe, if using aftermarket parts, all 88-00 reverse harnesses work. make sure to check for powered antenna.

 

I have a 99 SiR (Canada SiR, American Si) cd deck in my 91 civic, and I had to get a wire harness adapter to put it in. You could always just hard wire it if you know how.

 

it will plug right in, it will work. i've done such hybriding in my stereo installing years.
