Default GSR vs 2.5RS

Anyone have any comments. Just wondering if any of you have raced 2.5RS's and what the outcome was?

my guess is the RS will take the GSR off the line due to more TQ and AWD. But then the GSR should reel it in around 3dr gear or so.

You'll be catching up at the top of 2nd or bottom of third, depending on your launch.

Well, I sold my GSR and bought a 2.5RS , then sold the 2.5 and bought back my GSR (sold it to my old man). The GSR is faster in pretty much every dimension, unless you drop the clutch at like 6000rpm on the Sube, in which case the impreza might walk away for a few feet while the integra is spinning its tires on the launch. Both nice cars, but the integra is a lot quicker in a straight line.

The RS is slow...now if you add a turbo...the sky is the limit.

That applies to pretty much any car however.

Yea i raced on in my gsr...got me off the line but caught right up when i hit vtec in first then it was all over with from there...
Then raced a turbo one I was in my dads S2000...he jumped about 2 cars of the line but i was gaining on him the entire time then had to slow down real quick..I thought i was gonna get spanked by the turbo one but i guess not...

actually the tranny is the limit. the turbo 2.5s develop so much torque that they blow apart the stock transmissions really easily. Most of the serious players on I-Club run dog boxes on their turbo 2.5S.

The 2.5 RS is not a very impressive car stock. In the quarter mile, a GSR will walk all over it nine times out of ten. However, like some others have said earlier...if you slap a turbo on the 2.5 RS, not even a turbocharged GSR will have a chance. The RS develops so much power from modifications no matter what they are, and the rise in torque numbers is sick. Plus, lets not forget, AWD owns all. But stock for stock, the GSR is a much nicer, faster car.

Took a WRX with my GSR, intake/catback mods, started catching him in 3rd and walked by in 4th, so 2.5 should be a piece of cake. Those cars are high 15sec cars at best.

I don't know about a GS-R with simple bolt-ons, but a fairly modified GS-R can take out a WRX. Trust me, I've beaten a couple WRX's...
