Default 93 accord with no 1st,3rd,or 5th gear...(Brand new clutch kit,and slave cylinder)

Title pretty much says it all.

Can drive the car fine in 2nd,4th,and reverse, but all my forward gears are like they arent even there.

The car was driving fine til the slave cylinder went out, replaced it,and now my gears arent there. Anybody know anything about what this could be?

I was told it might be my shifter cables, but im looking for a second (or third or fourth) opinion on what could be causing this.

If you have any questions that could help you, help me, i will do my best to answer them.

There are two cables for shifting. The ends are secured with cotter pins. One must have fallen out or the mechanic did not put them in. I had my mechanic do that to me, but I was able to catch it before anything happened.

Also check for mounting bolts, too. My mechanic did not put one or two on me as well.

I should have done the job myself but I was too busy with my real jobs.

Go to a junkyard to get one.

What was the problem? On my toyota there's a retaining clip that holds the cable into the bracket, I don't see how the bracket went bad.....unless its like mine and has a slit at the to get the cable through and the guy bent it all up and made it pop out over time

The bracket is broken,my buddy up at oreilly's confirmed it. He said he doesnt have a clue in hell how it happened, but it did, so as soon as i get 10 bucks (its sad im that broke) i gotta go grab one from the pull and pay.
