you have to look for the vtech engagement switch. It should be located behind the radio, just dismantle your center console and you should see it

Comes with the site. A lot of bashers around here. You can't be human and make mistakes on this site without people pointing it out to you.

I'm gonna try and be helpful here.
OP, you were kind of asking for it. Describe your issue in more detail. No power while VTEC is engaging could be a lot of things. Does the car bog or feel like its running out of breath? Giving us a broad issue and expecting us to help you out is a bit stupid.

Remember, VTEC will not engage if the engine isn't warmed up. So beating the **** out of your car after letting it sit overnight won't do much. (Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong on this)

I'm pretty sure most of us work hard for our **** and don't rely on mom and dad's money. Also, when you own a Honda/on H-T and spell VTEC "vtech", don't get mad when you get funny comments like the ones above.

Look man all jokes aside... I pay for everything on my car and I've done everything to my car myself....

Truthfully, VTEC is either engaged or not. So as far as loosing power thats something wrong with your car like lack of compression or something. Do you have any modifications? Can you still hear vtec engaging? Is your car making any noises?

If you want help you need a thread question better than hey my car isn't working whats wrong someone fix it...

Dude, there is no question. Rather, the question you asked is too vague. Specify what happens, any noises, and strange things, and get back to us. I want to help you out, and so do the others.
Also, good grammar and spelling help keep your responses positive and helpful. Try it out. And stop making generalizations like 'we use mom and dad's money', and we 'sit at home reading magazines...' etc. Help us help you.

let's make something clear this is a honda forum not a grammar forum, if you want to correct grammar then be an english teacher. the op simply stated he has no power when vtec is suppose to cross over. op can you hear the vtec crossing over at all?

When people need a decoder ring to figure out what was said you aren't going to get much help. Plus, 98% of people that type like that turn into an e-thug the minute people make fun of them so it's perfect troll bait.

i agree to a certain degree, when it is nearly impossible to read someone's ignorant writing style then by all means bash away but he simply misspelled vtec and a hanfull of clowns think that maybe others might find there ignorance towards it funny

Check your air filter. It could be really dirty and not letting the engine breathe in the higher rpm's.

Like spaz said it could also be a compression issue.

I think I better make my presence felt....

OP, you asked for it in a way. You come on a Honda forum and you misspell the most important word in the Honda community! Also be a little more detail about what is really the problem... and one very important thing don't assume anything and don't accuse because some of those guys making fun of you are one of the most active and knowledgeable around! So learn to take a joke!

reformulate you question and give more details... and the answer will come!

PS: Please spell VTEC correctly in future lol

if you're a mod then change it for him, and wouldn't you think if those guys are the "most knowledgeable" there time would be better spent trying to help the op's tech question rather than a grammer lesson when judging by there posts spelling seems to be an issue for them as well

I tried helping... TS as failed to answer my questions.

And as far as a MOD changing it for him, they aren't here to babysit and correct english papers lol If the TS is really that upset about this then he is perfectly capable of hitting the edit post button for his OWN post thread and changing the questions, changing the titles and etc. No need to hold his hand.

i absoluteley agree with you on that but for a mod to chime in with a negative response he could have just as easily changed the title for him
