I am going on a 100 mile trip this weekend and it would be nice if I could get my cruise control to work. I bought the car used 5000 miles ago and the cruise control never worked on it. The light comes on, on the dash but when i hit the set button on the steering wheel nothing happens. Any ideas, pointers? This is on a 98 EX

 

Is anything physically broken on the cruise module? Refer to haynes or google for a pic. It is connected to the throttle body via metal wire so you should be able to trace its location if you arent good with cars.

 

I know the location of the cruise control module. Everything looks fine. Cable is connected and is not lose, all power cables look connected... is there a fuse or something for this thing?

 

How many pedals? If a manual there is the bumper on the clutch that could be missing.
