Wondering what you guys think?
Was wondering how many of you guys would be interested in buying Reproduced trunk mat and spare tire cover (the board over the spare tire) for our 88-91 civics? All makes (Crx, Hatch, 4door, Wagon).
I'll be making this a poll and taking this one at a time (taking it in stage's to see if there is enough demand).
Now if there is enough demand, next step would be to get some patterns. I need to make sure all 88-91 Crx's are the same, all 88-91 hatch, 88-91 4door, and 88-91 wagon.
I'll need to find or get a decent spare tire board from each model (don't have my 4door anymore, and my hatch doesn't have one).
Will need the carpet from each model (all of it, from the back of the seat to the end of the trunk) . I also need to know what the color patterns are too. The colors that we carry (where I work at) are Black Felt, Charcoal Heather, and Pewter.
Alright, so lets start this.
Edit* Forgot to say, already talked to the mods, they cool with this. Oh, IBTL. so it's out of the way.

i made a plywood one and put sideways two by four legs on the bottom so I can fit a full size 13 rim and tire in the spare spot donuts stink
i was thinking about that too, but if it works out, it'll be cheap for a NEW set. how cheap, can't say yet. gotta see how much demand there is, then make some patterns.
Everything in the back of my wagon is still intact and somewhat in shape and dirty (Oklahoma red mud FTL!).
PM me if you are interested in borrowing it. I don't plan on having the wagon taking over DD duties for a while, so you could have it for a few months.

thanks, will keep you in mind.
it's a type of plywood. we call it, Chrysler-wood. why, because it's about the same type of wood used in trunks back in the 50's-70's.
that's right, if this works out. everyone can say that they have classic car parts in there car.
i doubt you will make a good profit from replicating those things. With the amount of time and money you have to put in into making those parts aren't worth it imo. Want to know why? I will tell you why, it is because that people often choose to buy these crx/civic because they are a cheap car and can get you from point A to B.Also, those stuff you are trying to remake, are still floating around ebay, junk yards and all over craiglists.
Finding them in top notch condition will be hard but whats the point of buying a remade set if they arent OEM honda?
Just my .02 cents.

I didn't vote. But I would be interested only depending on the price basically. If it was cheap enough to get it to fill the spare hole then I'd do it.

understandable and i know what you mean. hence the poll.
there are junkyards everywhere that have these. true most in not so good condition, and true there are other companies that make them too.
the thought was to see if there was a demand for this. the cost to the company i work for isn't that much, and doing a quick search, im pretty sure our trunk mats will be very affordable.
but i understand where what your saying. i'll give this thread a little bit longer to see how it goes.
no thanks.
someone who is that picky about the carpet in their trunk will go out of their way to find an OEM piece, not a reproduced one.
