what else will I need for mini me?
my first mini me. I've been reading for a while but am still not sure.
I have a z6 head with complete IM and dizzy.
getting a ecu (not sure what it is) and a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness.
the car is a bone stock 88 civic sedan.
curious as to what other parts I need.

Head gasket, valve cover gasket, head bolts or studs, OBD1 engine harness dizzy plugs, injector plugs, extra wire. you will have to rig up some sort of cable holder for the throttle cable. If you plan to run vtec you will need vtec plugs.
You may have to convert from DPFI to MPFI if your model is anything other than an EX

Or am I just thinking that because I have dpfi...
Whats the difference between the heads besides vtec?
People do the MPFI only who dont have the money or dont want/need to do a Mini-me.
Not sure of all the differences in heads, but I belive that a Z6 mini-me will raise the compression ratio over a stock D15B2 or D16Z6.
You'll need to run a P28 ECU on the jumper harness. Expect to pay $100 or more for a P28. You can get OBD1 injectors on the cheap and you can just pull OBD1 injector clips at a junkyard. Same should go for the dizzy as well. You don't necessarily need a plug for VTEC, however it should be easy to find an OBD1 vtec solenoid plug. Also I'm not sure what kind of exhaust manifold came on that year but I would recommend getting a Z6/Y8 manifold.
Other then that, it is definitely recommended to do timing belt, water pump, oil pump, etc. Oil pump might be a stretch but hey, I did a mini-me in my EK and it spun a bearing about 20k miles later.. Wish I would have replaced that oil pump while I was in there. You'll want an OEM Z6 oil pump. Not anything aftermarket and definitely stay away from a Y8 pump. As far as a headgasket goes, the Y8 headgasket is much better material and will bump compression a bit. Or you can remove the middle layer on the HG if you're not looking to do that. If I remember right that is..

motor has fresh timing belt, water pump, oil pump.
I was told that the timing belt on the b2 with not work with the z6.
I know I need the head gasket and valve cover gasket.
with the obd1 injectors I will not need a resistor box, correct?
FSRslug: are you talking about the engine harness plug for the vtec solenoid?

Yes, get the timing belt for the Head you are using.
Yes, OBD1 injectors do not need a resistor box.
