Default Ice in Air Compressor's LINE??

Ok I just moved here from California to Minnesota and it's been recently snowing hard.. very cold outside. I'm not use to the weather @ all.

Long story short.. been working on some cars lately only to find out that my air compressor seems to be building up some moisture and that moisture then turns into ice and clogs up all my line and keeps my air tools from not working. Is there a filtering system where I can get rid of all the moisture/water from entering my lines into freezing? Thanks!

P.S - Yes I do drain my air compressor all the time but it gets soo cold that it'll instantly FREEZE within minutes in my cold *** garage!

Welcome to the winter time. Buy a large space heater. That is what I have in my garage. Its worth the money when working on your car over the winter time. for example today. We hit a high of what, 18 deg? I was in shorts in my garage working on the teg. There is nothing worse than working on your car, in cold weather.

Thanks for the greetings lol. Is there any other way out other than heat to warm up the tools from the ice freezing over? I went to harbor freight the other day they had these little things called oil/water filter/remover for air compresssors or something. Would that solve my problem? Would it also hold the maximum/correct psi and not limit it?

yes you want an air water separator. if it has a regulator on it set it to max and it shouldn't effect air pressure

Make sure you drain your tank regularly, also get the water separator. its good habit to drain your tank. Also check and clean the inlet filter also helps with the motor not working so hard to fill the tank. I use air line antifreez in the winter. I dont have a heated garage and dont feel like getting the space heater out to thaw the lines out to use the impact.
