Ok I have a 91 hatch with a ls turbo I jus got home after taken it out for a spin looked under the hood and there's oil all over on the top of the tranny any ideas where this came from could it be the head lifting I did a comp test and it was 140 across the board any ideas also oil is fine and coolant no signs car also runs fine

 

Distributor o-ring.

 

That's wat I'm thinken I also noticed only 2 bolts on the dizzy so I put the 3rd bottom one on well see

 

Clean the engine. the leak will be easy to spot when you have a clean slate to work with

Also could be valve cover gasket. The VC gasket and Dizzy o-ring are more likely than a head gasket, but a clean engine is easier to work on than a dirty one.

 

Ya the whole engine bay was clean as he'll until this little incident lol so I'm gonna clean all that **** and see wat happens thanks guys

 

Same thing happened to me when I bought a new dist. off ebay. I replaced the O-ring with a OEM one and its been dry since.
