How do you know if you have a bad fly wheel??
1990 Civic Dx
1995 D16Z6 head w/ P28
1990 D15B7 block
Before I start this, thank goodness for life time warranty starters!!
Anyways, ever since I bought my car, it made weird noise upon start up. About 2 weeks ago my starter took a ****. I replaced it and it kept taking a ****.
Now it makes a horrible grinding noise from the starter area as if its not making good contact with the flywheel. On top of that, my 15amp fuse for the ECU keeps blowing. My car sometimes starts but most of the time it doesnt, and it makes a horrible grinding noise from the starter area.
Any input?

I doubt it is your flywheel. Unless the clutch has somehow worn it unevenly. But my guess would be a bad starter. I don't know the lingo much but I understand basically what a starter does. When you turn the key the little motor extends out the arm and contacts with the flywheel. Now if that little arm does not retract then you get a really loud noise. This is because the starter is moving too fast. I would say replace the starter with a brand new one, and see if you still have a problem.
You can always inspect the flywheel by taking off the dust shield on the bottom of the transmission.
