Default Portmatch Victor X or hold of with stock for now?

Hey fellas Im looking for some input on a build I MAY be planning on completing this summer. I am building a Boost motor, yes I said boost in this forum...sorry, anyways ALL the parts I purchase for my current motor will be put to use when I get my other block sleeved and built for boost. With that in mine I planned on running the Victor X IM and Portmatched 70mm TB. Building the head consists of springs and retainers for now (will be fully rebuilt when I get the turbo block put together) and Skunk2 Pro 1 cams.

The opinions/input Im looking for is should I hold off purchasing the IM/TB right now because I know running that combo is pretty much a Turbo app and HIGH rpm gainer. I have the P30 IM and TB right now which from what I have read will more then likely give me more usable power, and possibly even more power. If I do hold off I could have the car running on this setup 4-6 weeks earlier.

I appreciate your replies.

Here is my current build for a reference:

82mm GSR block, GSR crank/rods with PR3 pistons (11.4:1 CR roughly)
PR3 B16A2 head w/ 00' ITR cams on S2 gears, 3 angle valve job
P30 IM/TB
Yowaii SS intake
RMF narrow header
S4C tranny w/ qualife LSD
Exedy Stage 2 PP and clutch disc
ACT streetlite flyweel

Makes 175whp 130tq w/ my WS2 catback on (restricting power I know)

My goal is to make 200whp w/ the exhaust on

If it were my car I would wait on the intake manifold until after its boosted so you would have something to compare it to. BTW the P30 intake manifold is good to over 400 whp

When I get done w/ school and working full time in the next year to year and a half the block Im building and the goals I have set exceed 600+whp so Ill be using a Vic X eventually. Im just looking for experience with a similar setup because I wont spend the money 2 times to get a S2 piece now just to need a VicX in 8 months. I just wanna play with the GSR and see what I can get out of it for a bit.

Thats what I was afraid of. It will lose alot low and mids and have nothing until the last 2k before I shift. I don't wanna step backwards to step forwards for sure.

victor-x is great from about 7k to 10k...if you dont have a setup that will support making power that far up in the rpm band then its a complete waste.

I know this particular motor wont make power to 10,000 rpm, and I wont be taking it that high anyways. I plan to just rev it til the power drops. My guess is that wont be until 8500 to 8800 or so. I wont take it much past 8500 on stock rod bolts as well. Ill probably hold off doing anything besides camming it for now then and go after my 200whp goal.

Guess I should have named this thread P30 vs. Victor X to spark some more interest. One bump and Ill let her die. Leaning towards the P30 til I go boost, unless someone has some insight to add against that.
