I see on ebay they sell "Airbag DASH Sensors" for del sol up to 94?

So Im wonder if 96 models have DASh sensors too or they moved it to the front chassis rails.

ok i hate to say this but i just dubble check and it looks like in 96 honda updated the SRS controler and put the Trigger switch inside the controler.

so basicly if your air bag trigger sensor is bad in the 96 ~97 del sol's you have to replace the SRS controler.

BUT if you have a late model 95 (06/95 ~12/95 Mfg data) it would have been sold as a 96 and MAY still have the older style SRS controler and the sensor would be under the brake pedel.

Solster
You are a champ.
Starting to make sense. My one is a late 95 but badged as 96 model.
I followed all the yellow harness wires and none go to any Sensors.
Thats why I was confused. Now the extra info you put up points to the SRS module as the sensor is built inside.

I might look into getting another SRS module.
Thankyou heaps.

What is this ALLDATA?

http://www.alldata.com/

the best way to put it.
it's like owening EVERY Repair book for every car from 1982~2009
i have a copy installed on my PC (don't think thay sell it as a stand alone program any more) but it's the best thig i have found. it takes about 180 Gig's of hard drive space to run it all from HD but if you have teh OEM disc's you can run it from the disc's and only need 100 MB installed

Well I just want to say thanks for taking the time to help me. I had a feeling 93 to 95 models were different with Ebay advertising "Air bag sensors" and their harness and module looked different.

Are all Del sol OBD1 or OBD2?

Using the MES (Memory Erase Signal) plug and using a paper clip to jumper it

1). Shove paper clip in
2). Turn ignition on to reds
3). SRS light goes out ... Pull paper clip out
4). SRS light goes on... Put paper clip back in.
5). SRS goes out ... pull paper clip out..

When light goes back on the srs light will blink twice.
You have cleared it. BUT>................

If the SRS ever comes back on. Then you have a problem.
Then read my other thread to pull the codes out and follow up with the problem part.

Yes, you must also replace the SRS control unit after an airbag deploys.
