Koni Yellow or Koni STR.T?
Im debating whether I want to spring for the Koni yellows or settle for the Koni str.t. I have searched and not really found anything conclusive other than the yellows are great for track and alot of people are unhappy with kyb agx's which is why there not an option. My car is a street car, I dont need something over the top which is why im leaning toward the str.t's cause there half the price, but I plan on going lower with my car, maybe 2.5in all the way around, which is pretty low on a street car IMO and im worried the str.t's wont be able to handle it. I dont expect a beamer like ride, just something that can take some turns and last longer than a year. Basically what im asking is are the yellows worth the extra money for my application? BTW ill be using whatever struts I get with ground control coilovers, not sure of the spring rates unfortunately, bought them used.
str.t = $300 shipped
sports $450 shipped
how is that twice the price?
is it worth it? depends on your spring rates. if you lower a car that much they should be around 500/450 if you want to keep from bottoming out. this of course means you need the sports to control the rate.

If you're planning on getting the ground control coilovers anyway, why not just make it a done deal? Get the koni/GC setup from THmotorsports for $799 shipped.
They had a 5% special last I checked too. Might be over, but that's certainly the best price you'll find on the internet.

Are you planning to run lowering springs? Something like a H&R race spring? If so, I would reccomend runing the Sports. My friend had them and they were great.
Since you already have the GC's it's safe to assume you didn't buy the koni specific ground controls. Buying konis would be a bad idea then. Unless you'd like to return/exchange your GC's

I traded stock EK seats, stock blown struts/springs, steelies with new tires, and $120 for my Koni Sports lol. Helped clean out the garage, they are used but they are in perfect working condition. I'm actually going to sell them when I get some money saved up for the Koni/GC setup. I figure its cheaper/better to get everything new and sell what I have used than it us to just buy the ground control setup.
got me, i paid $450 in 2008, possible prices went up since. last i heard they were still 450 though and or 799 for the package. koni specific ground controls are like 340-350, see if they will cut you a better deal
also, in a thread you either have to quote who you're responding to or follow the last post, can't read minds
