What do you want a cage for? If you are just auto-xing, I wouldn't get a cage.

They make getting in and out more of a pain. It is more dangerous if you are not wearing a helmet or are in a rear end collision without a fixed back seat. Working behind the dash becomes more difficult if not impossible.

Sure, the chassis will be stiffer, but it does come with a price.

If you plan to use it for SCCA, NASA, etc, make sure you build something that will be allowed per your class rules.

i recommend an autopower bolt in rollbar. its all you need and will keep you safer than a full rollcage for your stated use.

btw, the extra weight of a cage or any other metal will only hamper your autox project car.

I have a cage in my CRX and I like it. Doesn't really get in the way of anything either. However my cage doesn't extend past the seats at all. However if the car didn't come with it, I wouldn't have even looked into the idea of putting one in.

Whatever the hell that is. It just makes the car feel like it should be a lot faster then it is. I hope I can get it boosted soon so whenever a girl rides in it she'll think it's a race car because it'll feel fast, be loud and have a cage. Or I guess a "roll bar" if you want to be an expert about it.

It was pretty funny getting the car inspected. The highway patrol guy looking over the car was like "Oh well this cage wouldn't be SCCA legal". Then went on and on about his drag car. But hey for a $300 car it has a pretty badass rollbar.
