I want to buy an engine wiring harness with or without (preferrably with) the 5 wire o2 sensor from the 1996-1998 Honda Civic HX with the Manual transmission. I would also like to buy the ECU for the D16Y5 from 1996-1998 as well.



If you have a D16Y5 engine wiring harness in your car despite swapping in a different setup, I WANT YOUR HARNESS! Buy another harness and I'll gladly take yours!!!

The 96-00 Civics don't have a separate 'engine' harness like the EG Civics or DC Integras do.

So in a sense, they don't exist.

 

Yes they do, what are you talking about? There is the cabin wiring harness and then there is the engine wiring harness which goes partially into the cabin to connect to the cabin harness and to the ecu. I understand there is a difference with the wiring harness for the cars with a B engine and a D engine, but that doesn't mean neither of the vehicles have specifically an engine wiring harness.. Something about the B engines having a "split" harness while the D series is one.. I don't know but I do know that it means you can't hook up the B engine harness into the cabin harness of a car that had a D engine without doing some re-wiring.

 

he i got a 95 VX tranny only thing that need to be replace is the diff bearing. i never did it due to the fact that my car is a daily and i had a spare DX tranny to swap it into.
i also have a D16y7 engine harness if that would work for you. let me know.

I'm parting out my '98 HX, I already pulled out the o2 sensor and I can get the ECU and engine harness also.
