wiper insert removal for the 2008 ex sedan?
this ? only relates to the 2008 ex as honda seems to have made a mess of wiper replacement.
considerable search on forums reveals much confusion among coupe, sedan as well as individual years.
pulled my driver side arm to see how easy it would be to remove the insert and it did not look easy. what is the trick? i have replaced inserts for many years, but this new design is not obvious.
no, i have not yet purchased the refill. unless someone here can tell me, off to oriellys i will go for them to teach me. my ego will take a shot.

If it is the same as a coupe there is a small button you push and it slides out of the arm, just make sure the new blade has the same clip as your old one.
I had a hell of a time finding one that fit my car, the book says they are suppose to fit but they don't.
I was able to get one at advanced auto that fit, walmarts computer said that the one they had fit but it didn't have the right clip.

For the 08-10 model 4 door, according to the book I have here, there is a tab on the back of the blade it opens like a small door upward.
Find the blade labeled SET then release the blade from it.
Pull back the end of the blade and slide out the old rubber.
I'm just reading from the book don't blame me if it's wrong, I don't own a 4 door and never will.

the new insert is in. thanks for the "read the manual tip".
pull on the correct end of the old rubber with your fingers and pull the rubber out, transfer the two metal ribs and slide in the new rubber. done!
honda has a fine system.
honda calls the insert a blade and the blade is called the blade assembly.
who would have thought the manual would tell you how.
still, one would have thought that for a 5 year production model run a single style
of wiper would have served all years as well as both coupe and sedan.
i got annoyed reading the early years wiper replacement instructions on
some forums. if you search the 2008 model, one is overwhelmed by all the manufacturers
selling several styles of wiper, but the "beam" style is oe.
i paid $10 at the $tealers, but it was only a couple bucks more than ordering online and
paying shipping.
cheers.
