Default How long until you have to clean the Intake filter?

It's been quite a long time now, since I had my AEM CAI installed. Around 6000 miles or so. Should I clean the filter? Also, How can I take off the filter without taking the whole intake out or removing the FR Wheel?

Article on how to do it here

http://www.team-integra.net/sections...p?ArticleID=69

I do mine at every oil change.

Basicly you just remove a screw and pull down the panel that the filter is located above, remove the filter, clean it and replace.
Pictures in the article.

I'd do it every 6 months or so. I live in Sacramento and it seems that the filters don't get very dirty.

Damn. Do I have to jack the car up to do this? Any other way without jacking the car up?

1. turn wheel to extreme left
2. remove black plastic fender liner
3. remove filter
4. clean filter
5. put everything back

I do it around 8k-10k miles depending on how dirty it is. You can take out your bumper lense to check it out.

Nope, it takes 5 seconds. Look at the article, it shows pictures how.

You remove one screw under the front bumper, pull a peace of plastic down, and it exposes the filter so you can remove it.

Ok. I just went downstairs to my garage to try it out. I turned my wheels all the way to the left. Then went down under where my lip was, and removed the Screw. Then what? It wouldn't come off.

Damn. I suck. I don't even know how to clean the filter. Anyone in the Bay Area wanna help me out later on?
