okay so whats the scoop. What would someone have to do to a stock
looking h22 to get it to go like that?

The ITR just has higher revs and a big weight advantage of like 300-400 lbs, that will do it, also the ITR has a better tranny with better gearing and a little lighter flywheel, about the same power tho and the lsd does help a little in the launch, not to mention the better tires....its just build better....a prelude is not really the greatest to mod tho becuz of there weight
PS. a Prelude is also easier to drive, you have to really know how to drag with an itr to get good performance...

One word...torque

 

I had to 5th Gen BB6's before the R. I had a 98 with just Bolt ons and it would be owned by any R with a decent driver! Then I had a 01' with bot-ons plus a JRSC! I will say that it was pretty fast but the gearing of the R and the slight weight advantage would not leave it far behind! I have a video of m JRSC'ed BB6 vs. a 97 R with I/E. I'll try to find it!!

Stock for stock the R would win with equal drivers, but if the lude had mods like i/h/e, it would be a toss up, possibly with the lude winning. The H22A is a nice motor with a lot more torque then the b18c5.

4th gen lude vtecs are the fastest ones in the bunch. They will give an R a good run for their money. And on the roadcourse, that weight penality won't show up as much.

Autox course, forget about it. R will own the lude anytime with identical drivers and identical mods.

 

umm wtf my friend has turbo lude dyno'd at 200hp and 230-240(dun remember)

Take the lude to a Auto X and have fun then!

You need to give specifics when asking a question.

A Prelude beating him by 1.5 car lengths from 0-60 would be remarkable, while on the other hand a Prelude beating him by 1.5 car lengths from 0-150 would be less amazing.
