Default catalytic converters

just a questions...

got a stock d15 motor. high flow cat on it right now
and i need a stock cat to pass smog so i can start my swap and be cool for 2 years lol. anyways

cats from the d series.... are they all interchangeable? will they still pass smog?

if i put a d16 cat on a d15 will it pass smog?

i know its a retarded question but it got me curious.
