Thinking about getting a bike to go with the R. Anyone know about bikes who has suggestions. I dont know to much about bikes, just wanted to know if someone could steer me in the right direction as far as pricing, popular models + their performance, etc... I am not looking to go out and spend an astronomical ammount of money, like the cost of a car. Just something fast, that I could get even used for a decent price. Some popular names that come to mind are Honda CBR's, Kawasaki Ninja, Ducati (Drool), etc... but as you could see I dont know ****.

If you don't want Darwin to pay a visit, I'd recommend you get a smaller bike first(ninja250, Suzuki gs500e, etc..). That's only if you don't have a lot of experience.

 

Thanks for the advice. I dont need any superbike material, and I dont think i ever will. Just want something to mess around with a few times a week. Something fast though, that will last me.

 

Sign up for the MSF course, pass it, get your M license and then go get yourself a nice used 1995 Honda CBR F3 and be careful. If you aren't responsible then I don't reccommend the F3 but somthing a bit slower.
