Default Are all d16 heads fit on all d16 blocks?

Will a z6 head fit on a y8 or a6 block?
What internal would i want to use?
the reason i ask is that i bout a full d16z6 motor and found out that the block is shot. i have a 88 d16a6 in my 91 std hatch and i was planning on building a new motor for it and build it to turbo.
what do all of you guys recommend?

If you have a good a6 block then you could put that z6 head on (mini mi) you would just need a y8/cam, obd1 vtec dizzy and jump it to obd1.
