D16A6 Bearing code question....
So I tore down my A6 today and wrote down all the numbers and letters I could find for the bearing identification. I was told that there should be 5 stamped letters on the block where the oil pan mounts towards the flywheel side. But I scoured my block and couldn't find a single marking. Are they somewhere else? I was searching a little and couldn't really come up with anything. Everything seems to be for B series. Thanks.
The markings I've got so far are:
From the Block.
? ? ? ? ?
From the crank.
B 1 B 2 B 2 A 1
2
? ? ? ? ?
From the Rods.
2 2 2 2
B2 B2 B2 A2
Three Yellows and 1 pink correct?

I am gonna help you because I have been helped, but it is obvious that you are not doing required research work - which is crucial if you wanna get something out of this experience (i.e. operating engine). Block is stamped where transmission meets the block, not the oil pan. See attached clipping.
One more thing, why won't you start your own engine build thread? It will help you with keeping things contained, and it will reduce the litter in the forum. People like pictures here, you might as well take some in the process, and it will help you to put things back together in a proper way. Here is my ongoing project, I am not that far into it, but I do my research...

This isn't my first engine build, but my first Honda one So I'm a little fuzzy on certain things. I searched for quite a while for that stuff and was only coming up with the stamping location for the oil pan location, and was told by a Honda tech that that's where it was too. Thank you very much for the info. It's just a stock rebuild new bearings and rings with a simple ball hone to the cylinders. Gonna get the black glass beaded. It's just an extra motor for my ST civic.
