Default 2007 EX-V6 iPod Adapters?

I'm aware of the Honda Music-Link for iPods and the USASpec one, this is for my girlfriend so I would like to retain the stock radio/cd changer and not swap out.

Does anyone have any experience with them? The USASpec is $150 and the Music-Link is $214

Her car does not have navigation and the iPod is a 4th or 5th gen Video

I have the USASPEC for my '07 V6. Works fine. It allows you to use the steering wheel controls to switch tracks, which is convenient. It can act as an auxiliary CD changer (using 6 playlists created on your ipod, each one acting as a disc) or straight up auxiliary mode with integrated track forwarding. The modes are activated via a switch on the unit.

Depending on the iPOd model, it may not charge. I know it charges my 3rd Gen Nano but not my 3rd Gen Touch. I would assume most newer ipods wont charge.

P.S. The USASPEC can be found for about $130.

P.S.v.2.0 I hear the MusicLink licks donkey nads.

Forgot to mention I have the stock 6-disc in-dash radio. No aftermarket head unit.

With the USASpec installed, you can still access your built-in 6-disc CD changer with no issues? How do you switch from one function to another?

P.S.: I'm thinking about doing this to my '06 Accord EX-L +NAV & XM.

Actually I can safely update this, I have installed her USASpec adapter just recently (like within past month)

I used the PA11-HON2y for her, picked up hers used for like $70 and later got one for myself from eBay for $50. There is an updated version of the iPod cable (from the PA11 to iPod) that charges the latest generation iPod, they would play but not charge. The updated cable is available from USASpec for $26 shipped and will play/charge all of the currently released iPods (including iPhone 4).

So far she absolutely loves it and install was incredibly simple. She still has full access to her in-dash CD changer as well

To switch to the USASpec you push the CD/AUX button a few times until it hits the CDC, which I assume is the optional CD changer in the trunk. Once you hit that screen, plug in the iPod and you are good to go.

I would HIGHLY recommend it. I'll try to take some pictures of the install this weekend, I drilled a small hole ~5/8" in size in the bottom right corner of the front pocket then slipped the cable through and put in a rubber grommet. Looks relatively stock and you can coil up your iPod and cable in there then close the door to keep it out of sight.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
