Is it worth buying?
I found a 1990 integra da that's auto with 177xxx miles on it. it's black and lowered 2 inches off the ground. it's got its usual rust on the rear quarter panels. the paint is chipping and itl'll need a paint job and new sunroof. the sunroof is cracked, but it still closes and doesn't leak. the car is inspected until may 2011, the drivers side door is having issues and wont open, it was opening at one point, the previous owner(2nd owner) used it for 2 months putting around 6,000 miles on it, he claims the car runs fine
My question is, for $350 is it worth it to drive? I need a new car ASAP just to get me to points a-b-c til I can save enough for a newer car
Is this worth it, I planned on driving it over to a mechanic tommorow when I test drive it and having him look at the timing belt/Head gasket to see if they'll last me
But from what you guys know, experience wise, is this 1990 worth using for a few months if not ,longer? Go off of experience based upon mileage, I don't want to hear "you won't know til you drive it" just tell me your past experiences with a 1990 DA with over close to this many miles and if you own a DA that you drive daily with over 170,000 miles, how is it.'
Thanks in advance

its 350 bucks....just buy it. unless you can fix things yourself then youll end up spending hundreds of dollas fixing the timing bellt and stuff. i just bought a 96 beretta for 200 bucks. i hate chevys but its $200..imma fix it and make 800 bucks lol
Yeah, a timing belt is a pain in the *** of a repair, but I can do it given a few hours and some good music
I was just hoping I'd get like 8,000 miles out of it before having to do so(I'm lazy)

you have to look at the long run, u spend 350 for the car and a grand in parts to fix it.
and ittl still have rust, and you plan to make something off it? :O
u can get ones thats decent shape with almost no rust and working everything for a grand

I love the 1990 Teg alot =/ and I was looking at this as a long-term project but useable to commute in the mean time, I don't mind a timing belt repair(takes me like 3-5 hours) or to replace any filters or water pumps.. I was just curious to some personal stories of your's if you have had any nightmares with a 1990 DA
When I said a daily driver, meaning, to use it as is to get extra money on the side and the part I'll need to mod it XD I'm not dropping 5,000 all at once to repair everything and put in a turbo system, I have to do a tranny swap as it, but I want to get money on the side to put towards this, I was just wondering how reliable it is til then
sounds like it, but could cause future problems. i suggest you thoroughly check it before diving into the deal. Those fixes can be easy but costly, as long as "point a-b-c" are not long commutes itd be cool. Hoped that helped
